Vertex 2 Ex transcends the other drive because of its better SLC (Single- Level Cell) memory- 10 times better than Vertex 2 Pro. In addition, these drives are even capable of handling 50,000 IOPS or Input/Output per second.

Using SATA II connectors, the drives are expected to wok better. And with the coming of SAS interface using drives, the best is to be expected. Moreover, in the market, the OCZ Technology Group was able to release Vertex SSD- a consumer type of Vertex. It can go up to 480GB for its capacity.

According to the OCZ Technology CEO, Ryan Petersen, these drives are the best for meticulous computing environments. They have different features which could contribute to this credibility. The first feature is the drives’ super-capacitator which functions as the back up power supply for the computer once the unexpected power loss came. With this, easy obliteration of the PC will be avoided. The second feature is its superior ECC (Error Correction Code). The third is its capability to copy protection and recovery features from RAID. Through this, enough blocks can be made in the said PC.

The drives warranty reach up to 3 years and also, the company offers technical support once there seem to be a problem in the product. Engineering support may also be customized for customers if they like.
