This piece of writing is a tutorial for an efficient tweet archive made from wordpress. After reading this one will be able to create a browseable, searchable tweet archive. There are four main steps to follow in order achieve the set goal. The first is to get a backup for your tweets from a third party. The key point to remember is that tweets backup has certain limitations and backup for all the tweets is not possible. Once these backups are developed it is important to save it into RSS by the use of XML.

The next step is to import earlier tweeters to wordpress. I reckon one should create a new wordpress specially for tweet archive. This saves time and effort to separate from the general wordpress content. The following step is to import the saved RSS through tools into wordpress. If done appropriately, your tweet should be proper in wordpress theme, make sure you take care of minor flaws like deleting the first hello and username.

Once you have done the first two steps properly, you will have all your old tweets but now the problem is to get the new tweets automatically into new wordpress archive, this can be easily done with the help of twitter tools plugin. To use it, make sure you do a NO to enable option to create a tweet when you post in your blog and YES to create a blog post for each of your tweet post. This will ensure your new posts will automatically be in wordpress. The final step is to install a theme. There are several themes available but even if you adapt an existing one you will have to customize it as per your requirement. If you decide to make the whole theme, make sure you put the basic required details properly like, date, time and permalink. Hope these steps will allow you to make your twitter archive more effective and efficient.
