A new music store is going to be launched by Google. According to some sources from the music industry, Google wants to launch its music service that will provide the services for the music streaming as well as the downloading of the songs, very soon.
Recently, Google has signaled that it wants to give the facility to the users of phone equipped with Google’s android operating system which offers the best music for its customers. Last month Google hold an I/O conference in which they offered a demonstration for the attendees on a web-based competitor of iTunes. On the other side Tech Crunch reported that a logo of “Google Music” was also created on the internet and was hosted at Google’s domain which is showing that Google is currently working on the music store.
CNET has learned that Google held a Consumer Electronics show in January. Google wanted to add some excitement among the executives during the consumer electronics show in January. When Google was asked for comments or an interview, they did not response to any request.
I think Google will also follow the strategy of the Mountain View, the California based company who first launched their music One box and provided the facility to the customers to search the titles of songs and stream the tunes via online music store like Lala.com and ilike. That experience was great because those companies were acquired by their competitors like Myspace and Apple respectively. So Google tried first to provide wedding songs and allowed them to be searched by the consumers.
Sources said that there is a prominent role of Rhapsody music subscription service in helping the Google’s new music store that is going to be launched.
Some sources also said that Apple is currently working on a web-based iTunes service. This service will provide some brand new features to the users. Users can store the music or any other media on their digital shelves and then they can stream the content to web-enabled devices.
